Day 6 - 2nd March

It has been a hot sunny day today with the temperature in the low 80s F. Ben had his early morning trip to buy the bait for his fishing. When he had his first attempt he caught 2 fish but it wasn't surprising as the fish were jumping out of the water asking to be caught!

A small one

At lunch time we went to Buffalo Creek to play our first round of golf there. We started the round on our own but, because of slow play in front of us, were caught up by a young man, Trevor, who joined us for the rest of the round. He said he didn't like playing on his own so was pleased to have some company. In fact we only met up on the greens and tees because he hit the ball much further than us, and often in a different direction. He told us his wife was expecting a baby in June so he was playing as much golf as he could now as he wouldn't have much spare time after the baby was born. They were expecting a boy and thouht they were going to call him Callum.

Ben played well again and this time we played 18 holes with no adverse effect to his knee. I played a bit better today but Ben still beat me easily. The fairways had more grass on them than there were on the course we played on Sturday.

It was almost dark by the time we finished the round. We had to visit Publix on the way home to buy our meal so didn't get back here until nearly 8pm.
